WEATHER
The climate in Jerez is that of the warm southern region of Spain, influenced by the Atlantic Ocean and its westerly winds which bring humidity and moisture from the sea to the vines and wine cellars . The important Jerez sherry producing vine is exposed to an average temperature of 17º C and the region has nearly 300 days of sunlight per year. There is about 30 days of rain every year with most of it falling With in October and contributing to the important reserves of ground water that the vines need to draw upon in the hot and dry Summer season.
The climate is mild and pleasant with clear skies throughout the seasons with warm and sunny springs and autumns which are ideal for sunbathing. The summers have an average temperature of about 28ºC with sea temperatures ranging from about 19ºC-20ºC
The vines are harvested from August through to October when the cooler rainier weather sets in, but the days are still mostly mild and sunny. You will need a coat for the cloudy days and something warm to slip on at night.
